Engineers turn up to site without the right detector, PSU or cable. Someone drives back to the warehouse, or orders next-day from the wholesaler at full price. Nobody knows what's actually on each van until the yearly stock check, and by then the numbers don't add up.

Questions

Do I need a barcode scanner?

No. Engineers use their phone camera to scan barcodes, or take a photo of the barcode. A USB or Bluetooth scanner also works if you have one.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen like an app. There's nothing to download from an app store.

How long does setup take?

We set up your branded portal, admin and first vans for you. Adding more vans and engineers yourself takes a few minutes each.

Import from ADI or Mayflex

Export your order history or price list from the ADI or Mayflex website as CSV, then paste it here or choose the file. Columns headed description, part number or product code, barcode or EAN, brand or manufacturer, and cost or price are recognised. Existing products are updated by part number or barcode.

Vans and warehouses

Each warehouse keeps its own stock, minimum quantities and shelf locations. With more than one, pick which warehouse each van loads from. A warehouse's alert email gets its low-stock alerts and its vans' requests, as well as the company address.

Van kits

A kit is a standard list of items and minimum quantities, such as "Service van" or "Install van". Apply it to vans and their minimums are set in one go.

Only minimum quantities change. Nothing is booked onto or taken off a van; the Restock tab then shows what to load.

People

Add a person

Enter their name to see their username. They'll be asked to choose their own password the first time they sign in.

Access rights

Tick what each tier can do. Super Admins can always do everything. Changes apply the next time each person opens the app.

Print labels

Barcode and QR code labels with the product's name and part number. A product with no barcode gets its own item code (like MVS00012) when its label is printed, so scanning the label finds it, with the phone camera or a scanner gun.

Company details

Your portal: . Logins are first.last@ behind the scenes; people only type first.last.

Use a wide logo on a white or clear background. It's resized to fit.

Stock alert emails

Alerts and stock requests go to the address above. Set each item's minimum on the Stock tab, including for the warehouse.

Two-step sign-in

Super Admins and Admins always enter a code from an authenticator app when they sign in. Tick this to ask Users and Engineers too: each sets it up the next time they sign in.

Billing

Opens Stripe, our payment provider, where you can change your card or bank details and download invoices.

Export

Download spreadsheets to open in Excel.

Two-step sign-in

On iPhone or iPad, in Safari:

  1. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow, at the bottom of the screen).
  2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add. Van Stock now opens like an app.

Using Chrome on iPhone? Tap the Share button at the top right instead.

Open your browser's menu (⋮ at the top right in Chrome) and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
